Logos that utilize negative space effectively are always exciting and inspiring to look at. I really enjoy spotting elements created within negative space alone. Negative space is very important to any composition because it creates balance. It takes a designer’s very keen eye to be able to balance positive and negative space in any composition, and that is why it is a true talent when a designer is able to utilize that negative space to convey a message.
Here are 45 logos that I believe utilize negative space effectively:

Awesome list, cafe melody is a favorite of mine, I saw it on logopond. It was only last year after my friend mentioned it that I saw the arrow in the Fedex logo….pretty clever.
Thanks for including my Neighborhood Service Center logo in your collection.
My favorites include elefont and FIDO. I must have a thing for animals!?
Nice selection! Not sure I can choose a favourite!
Every one amazing, unbelievable inspiration…
@Mike, I was only aware of the FedEx logo from college. We had a little briefing on it. You would be surprised how many people don’t notice it. Actually, you would be surprised how many people don’t notice it after you physically point it out to them!
@Jeff, Of course! I love the Neighborhood Service Center Logo and the rest of your work.
@Rob, I enjoy the animal ones as well. Personally, I feel they are the hardest ones to incorporate negative space elements into and have them be instantaneously noticeable.
@Lucinda, @Justin, I had the hardest time picking which once to display in this post. There are so many amazing and inspirational logos out there. It was fun to look through them all though.
Awesome List of logs my favorites include elefont and catch5.
Keep up the good work.
Wonderful Showcase.

Each one these logos is ingenious. My favorite from this wonderful collection is Kölner Zoo.
What is your opinion about my own logo that you can see in the gravatar here? The image I try to convey is, “a warm and understanding, freelance i t (information technology) consultant available everywhere (on the internet)”.
Hi Sri,
Thanks for the lovely comment. I love your logo! It is quite rare to see well designed IT logos as the majority of IT companies focus on the techy bit of the job opposed to the design aspect. Nice one! Did you design your logo yourself or did you have someone else design it for you? Either way…love it!
Thank you Antonea for the nice compliment. I designed it myself, I am not a graphic artist though.

Nice list, although I must say that you left out one of my favorites… Hershey’s Kisses.
Antonea, thanks for the great collection and post. I’m familiar with all the designers up there. Thanks, too for posting my FIDO logo!
